Maya do të ndajë disa nga hulumtimet e tyre mbi vidrat në Nju Jork, Los Anxhelos, Meksikë, Liban dhe Pakistan. Do të flasim së bashku për ekspeditën në Vjosë dhe në Land Back si një proces aktiv i rikthimit të marrëdhënies sonë me habitatin natyror në të cilin jetojmë. Si mund të jemi agjentë të fuqizuar në mbrojtjen e mjedisit? Cilat janë disa strategji për t'i rezistuar alienimit ndaj njëri-tjetrit, kafshëve dhe forcave të natyrës? A mund të lejojë që të mbahet një shkëmb? Cili është lloji juaj lokal i gjarprit helmues? Cili është zogu juaj i preferuar? Ejani dhe sillni familjet tuaja. Ky është një aktivitet për të gjitha moshat dhe ne do të bëjmë çmos për ta përkthyer në shqip.

Join our workshop on eco-liberation and the anti-professionalization of science, hosted by Maya Nutria (@riverotterradio) and Bimbi (@angel.hubris) of Shared Rivers. Maya will share some of their research on otters in New York, Mexico, Lebanon, Pakistan, etc. and we will talk together on land back as an active process of reclaiming our relationship to the natural habitat that we live in. How can we be empowered agents in protecting the environment? What are some strategies to resist alienation to each other, animals, and the forces of nature? Should we ask rocks for their consent to be held? Who is your local poisonous snake? Who is your favorite bird, and why? Hajde and bring your families. This is an all ages event and we will do our best to translate into Albanian.

hi all, the humanitarian crisis around the globe forced me to stop and reassess a lot of things. i want to share with yall the story behind why i started @shared_rivers

In the Abyssinian Highlands lives 𝙺𝚘𝚔𝚎𝚋𝚎𝚢, a Tigrayan Raya cattlefriend. Since the war, they roam the mountains searching for a quiet place to rest. Many of their friends have been murdered, and 𝙺𝚘𝚔𝚎𝚋𝚎𝚢 grieves every step of the way. Today, an unlikely sight catches their eye - ℓíкáℓα, our beloved Congo clawless otter.

The year is 2024 now, 🄶🄾🅅.🄲🄾🅁🄿 continues to escalate its violence and destruction against the natural world. ℓíкáℓα, a Congo clawless otter, received a distress message from her friend 𝓩𝓪𝔂𝓽𝓸𝓸𝓷, a Gazan wildcat:

This is 𝓩𝓪𝔂𝓽𝓸𝓸𝓷, a Gazan wildcat who has had to take matters into his own paws amid pervasive and vicious attacks by the capitalist-extractionist 🄶🄾🅅.🄲🄾🅁🄿 against the natural world. 𝓩𝓪𝔂𝓽𝓸𝓸𝓷, however, is not alone. He and his friends have formed an incredible alliance to protect what’s left from complete destruction.

And here we were, thinking maps were just for fun. Turns out, geography touches over a dozen major disciplines, from biology over economics to computer science.

It's #WorldOtterDay and did you know river otters are a very important bioindicator species for studying a river's health: Taking care of our rivers means taking care of our otters.
