Axolotl Museum Workshops 🇲🇽

A three day festival of art, community, and ecology in Mexico City featuring music, dance, theater, gastronomy, and axolotl conservation. We did multiple teach-ins including ecofeminism 101, history of otters in Mexico, and animal movement workshop.

Reminiscing on the times when the axolotls roamed wild in the night…

We didn’t upload these @museodelaxolotl “Night of the Axolotl” festival gems three years ago when it happened, but we are doing it now because @shared_rivers is back.

Long live the axolotls and the waterbed that sustains their tiny feet. Long live the water bodies saturated to the brim with healthy otters that would maybe eat those same axolotls for sustenance and great flavor(?)

We did some workshops, watched some mesmerizing movement, and met incredible people, and we danced, and played music, and ate, and laughed, and drank, and learned many important things about ourselves and otters (sic).

We’ll write more things and give more creds soon but for now please join us as we extend our sense-of-self to extend a profound THANK YOU to the axolotls, for enriching our water-basins and our lives. Our hearts shine brightest when our beloved more-than-human kin and neighbors are smiling with us.
